AZ GOP Legislators Violated Oath of Office by Supporting & Voting 4 the National Popular Vote
The National Popular Vote & AZ GOP Office Holders Support of It and other Legislation they should have Opposed
The Definition of a Republic:
A state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.
Democracy vs. Republic. … In a republic, a constitution or charter of rights protects certain inalienable rights that cannot be taken away by the government, even if it has been elected by a majority of voters. In a “pure democracy,” the majority is not restrained in this way and can impose its will on the minority, which is us.
What’s a Conservative?
It’s a derivative term: referring to something outside of itself. We can’t conserve the future or present, and the past is full of contradictions thereby we’re also unable to conserve it entirely. In the past we find both Villains and Heroes; injustice and justice, slavery and freedom. Past and Present things are similar and must be judged on their own merits. Many Conservatives believe this to be true as a result of applying common sense. What makes us Conservatives?
It’s the Knowledge that things with a good reputation for a length of time are more than likely to be trusted vs. newer things with a limited or no history at best. The term Principle refers to something with a long history and to modify that into something different is to change the Principle itself, as without the Original Principle the reasoning for its’ defense is non-existent.
If being a Conservative stands for anything it must be founded in the very Birth of the United States. All peoples form political bonds which were written into our nature by God with His gift to us of reason and speech. This brought about the establishment of Our Nation with the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution, and from these came the Principles by which we govern and allowed those in office to govern. The conclusion of this is quite simple, Our Founding Principles are what we defend thus defining us as Conservatives.
Popular vs. Electoral Vote: Losing the popular vote means securing less of the national popular vote than the person who received either a majority or a plurality of the vote. … The presidential elections of 1876, 1888, 2000, and 2016 produced an Electoral College winner who did not receive the most votes in the general election.
Many of the AZ’s Republican Legislators voted for the National Popular Vote in 2016, this includes Mr. Livingston in LD 22, who has clearly stated in a conversation at LD 22 on July 16, 2018 when asked about literature for attendees on his support for the National Popular Vote, PROP 123, EPCOR, that if those are the only Problems then he has no Problems. His comment stating no Problems hopefully will disturb anyone who reads this as it still demonstrates to me his total disregard for the system set up by our Founders to Protect all of us from Majority rule and would take from us the Republican Form of Government guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4, please keep in mind that if this was Law we’d have had Lying Hillary for our President and if this would have happened what type of Nation would we all be living in today.
Mr. Livingston has proven over the years to listen to a paid Lobbyist rather than the LD 22 PCs who represent the people and do so freely, this to me along with other legislation are the reasons I’m opposing him in LD 22’s Senate Race, and also oppose the re-election or election of any who voted for the National Popular Vote and hope you’ll all check the records of those who voted for it.
We also had former Representative & Senator Judy Burgess do the same thing not once but twice 1st time in 2011 and again as Senator in 2016 and defends her positions, I suppose if you get away with Violating your Oath Once the 2nd time is easier and she apparently doesn’t believe she did anything wrong and attacks those who tell the Truth about her Record instead of meeting with them or voters to explain her Support & Vote for the National Popular Vote. Burgess’s attacks toward GOP Activists who spoke out about her real record it’s a must read: http://www.republicanbriefs.org/2020/05/27/5-27-20-briefs/,\

The National Popular Vote bill has been enacted by 16 jurisdictions possessing 195 electoral votes, including (DE, HI, RI, VT, CO, CT, MD, MA, NJ, NM, OR, WA, CA, IL, NY), and the District of Columbia. The bill will take effect when enacted by states with 75 more electoral votes. The bill has passed at least one chamber in 9 additional states with 88 more electoral votes (AR, AZ, ME, MI, MN, NC, NV, OK, VA). A total of 3,522 state legislators from all 50 states have endorsed it. Once passed we’ll no longer have Our Republic Form of Government, so we hope everyone understands just what these 20 So Called Republicans did when they Voted with the Socialist Democrats to End Our Republic, it’s really no Different than Biden’s Voters Rights Bill, so please Never Support again, no matter the excuse they give, even Google has the right answer if they’d only have looked, but remember I and others explained it at meetings, but they still did what the Lobbyist told them to do, but for one Jay Lawrence and he got Voted Out of Office.
I don’t believe much if any attention is being paid to the NPSV or National Popular Socialist Vote which was Sponsored by GRAY LD 21, LIVINGSTON / Sponsor LD 22, BOYER LD 20, MESNARD / House Leader LD 17, and passed in the AZ House in the 2016 session, by the way all 4 of these men are now in the AZ Senate and shouldn’t be as apparently don’t understand this would change the Face of the US as far as who sits in the White House, as if Law we’d have had Lying Hillary thanks to these uninformed, misguided by a Lobbyist Reps and their Votes. The bill was tabled in the Senate by then Sen. Biggs as he knew it would pass, because the following GOP Senators Sponsored the Bill: Prime Signor Shooter, Prime Sponsors; Barto and Dial, Co Sponsors Sylvia Allen, Judy Burgess and Kimberly Yee now the AZ StateTreasurer, plus other GOP signers total support 20 Sponsors & Votes, enough to pass and override a Veto, which is why it was tabled by Sen. Biggs or the GOPwould have passed it, seems Paid Lobbyists have more Loyalty than the US Constitution they took an Oath to or AZ Voters they’re suppose to Serve. . or for that matter the GOP Platform is against the NPV, so what does that make all these so called 23 Republicans sponsored and Twenty of them voted for? We must also point out that in 2011 the GOP LD 22 Rep. Judy Burgess sponsored the National Popular Vote in the House who somehow managed to win again in 20, therefore this is her 2nd time at Violating her Oath and at the same time asking for Voters to Support her in LD 1 House Race, this in and of itself is an appalling request.
Electoral Vote vs. National Popular Vote!
In their infinite wisdom, the United States’ founders created the Electoral College to ensure the STATES were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation?
lawLink;https://apps.azleg.gov/BillStatus/BillOverview?billnumber=SB1218&Sessionid=115 You can’t always trust some who say they’re conservatives, Rep. Livingston Sponsored & voted for the National Popular Vote, so who does he really serve? Livingston also pushed Prop 123, does this make him a Conservatives? My answer is NO…., and the Candidates who supported and voted 4 the National Popular Vote shouldn’t be Re-Elected to any office to give them a 2nd chance at passing this Bad Socialist Bill.
In Reference to My Comments in the GOP Maricopa Co. Briefs concerning Challenges to candidates and the National Popular Vote Link to Briefs, check out the 6 /20 /18 & 6 /21 / 18 Briefs: http://archives.mcrcbriefs.org/
Here’s one part of his response and see if you can detect the missing part to his response to my comments on the National Popular Vote:
CQ’s Response: Finally, as always, Van must attribute the entire conspiracy to either National Popular Vote or EPCOR. This time it was NPV. I have no idea where Engen is on the issue but Frank Carroll has spoken AGAINST it numerous times. My helping to elect a good conservative who disagrees with me on NPV easily puts to lie Van’s conspiracy theory. I have clients who like it and clients who don’t.
The part that’s missing since CQ is apparently speaking for the LD 22’s
Slate of 3 with no comments on what Toma or Livingston will do, so the issue remains the same especially since Livingston already Voted 4 the National Popular Vote, does that make him what CQ refers to as a Conservative?
Livingston, Mesnard, Boyer & Gray became AZ Senators so will they Vote 4 the National Popular Vote again?
The AZ House had 40 Votes for the National Popular Vote therefore could pass again, only this time you’d have at least 2 more Senators Voting for NPV, since Senators Yee and Burgess supported and Boyer and Livingston took their places, then it’s possible we’d get the NPV or as I call it the National Socialist Popular Vote, we prevent their Re Election to the AZ Senate, problem being no ones running against Mesnard or Boyer in the GOP, but Gray and Livingston have opponents and everyone knows Voting for the NPV as it’s like voting for Clinton, Gore, Obama.
The National Popular Vote will turn the United States of America into a Socialist Nation from which we’d never recover. I and others know this issue is Vital as it’s a National Issue and AZ must be on the Constitutional Side not the Lobbyist, Socialist, Special Interest Groups and Bureaucrats side of it.
AZ Voters may vote to Keep the US a Republic or turn it into a Socialist Nation and most won’t know they’re voting for Candidates who Voted 4 the NPV, as no one talks about the NPV. And that’s especially True of those who Voted 4 it in the AZ House, or Supported the National Popular Vote in the AZ Senate.
If those who Voted 4 the National Popular Vote are what AZ’s consider Conservatives then I and many others who Support the US Constitution must not be, and I find that Unbelievable.
The following list of statistics has been making the rounds on the Internet. It should finally put an end to the argument as to why the Electoral College makes sense.
There are 3,141 counties in the United States.
Trump won 3,084 Counties vs. Clinton’s winning 57 Counties.
There are 62 counties in New York State. Trump won 46 of them. Clinton won 16.
Clinton won the popular vote by approx. 1.5 million votes.
In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million more votes than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; Trump won Richmond)
Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular vote of the entire country.
These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles.
The United States comprises 3,797,000 square miles.
When a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the vote of
those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome
of a national election.
Large, densely populated Democrat Cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc) DO
NOT and SHOULD NOT speak for the rest of our country and the Popular Vote would give them Control.
The GOP Platform is against the National Popular Vote, the 4 AZ Legislators who sponsored the bill + 20 of them voted for it thinking about? Where’s they’re Loyalty to a Lobbyist, Party, Bureaucrats, most certainly not to US or the Nation, you be the Judge.
REPUBLICAN PLATFORM 2016 •
Honest Elections and the Electoral College
We oppose the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact and any other scheme to abolish or distort the procedures of the Electoral College. An unconstitutional effort to impose National Popular Vote would be a grave threat to our federal system and a guarantee of corruption, as every ballot box in every state would offer a chance to steal the presidency. We urge state legislatures that have voted for this proposal to rescind their approval.
20 AZ GOP Legislators Voted For this, and CQ is the Paid Lobbyist who pushed it and many who voted 4 it also had him in their Campaigns, anyone smell RINOs in this group of Supports?
Honest Elections and the Right to Vote!
Honest elections are the foundation of representative government. We pledge to protect the voting rights of every citizen, as well as their rights of conscience when they are harassed or denied a job because of their contributions to a candidate or a cause. We support state efforts to ensure ballot access for the elderly, the handicapped, military personnel, and all legitimate voters. We urge state and local officials to take all appropriate steps to allow voters to cast their ballots in a timely manner. We are concerned, however, that some voting procedures may be open to abuse. For this reason, we support legislation to require proof of citizenship when registering to vote and secure photo ID when voting. We strongly oppose litigation against states exercising their sovereign authority to enact such laws. In addition, to guarantee that everyone’s vote is counted, we urge that electronic voting systems have a voter-verified paper audit trail. We urge every state to join the Interstate Voter Registration Cross Check Program to keep voter rolls accurate and to prevent people from voting in more than one state in the same election. To guard against foreign involvement in our elections, we call for vigilance regarding online credit card contributions to candidates and campaigns. The members of our Armed Forces must not be denied the basic rights that they are defending for others. Our troops, wherever stationed, must be allowed to vote in a timely manner. We call upon the entire military chain of command to ensure the voting rights of our citizen soldiers. The Constitution gives Congress authority to conduct the decennial census “in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.” In order to preserve the principle of one person, one vote, we urge our elected representatives to ensure that citizenship, rather than mere residency, be made the basis for the apportionment of representatives among the states.
AZCC Rules 4 EPCOR & AGAINST SC & SCW VOTERS!
COMPLAINTS FILED WITH THE COMMISSION on February 25, 2014, customers from the communities of Cross River, Dos Rios, and Coldwater Ranch delivered over 100 letters to the Commission asking the Commission to investigate their rates for water and wastewater service. Included was a letter from LD 22 State Representatives Lovas, Livingston and Senator Burges. The Legislators’ letter states that there is a great discrepancy in rates between various communities in the northwest valley. It points out that the water/wastewater rates for the EPCOR Agua Fria District are nearly $100 more per month than those for the EPCOR Sun City District and nearly $75 more than rates for several city water services. The letter asks the Commission to review the water/wastewater rates for this area. The letter also states that the communities of Cross River, Dos Rios, and Corte Bella are geographically distant and physically unconnected to the Agua Fria Water District and that they use the NW Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility even though they are paying for the White Tank Facility. The letter ends with a series of questions which it requests the Commission to investigate. What were LD 22 Legislators Thinking of? This helped bring about higher Rates 4 SC & SCW. September 2017.)
It appears the LD 22 Legislators weren’t serving SCW but other outside interests and when asked to make a public statement they refused to do so.
P. Lee, Mgr. of The GOP Office In Sun City condensed the final vote on the EPCOR Waste Water consolidation taken on June 13 /2017 AZ Corp. Commission meeting. RINO GOP Commissioners Tobin, Little, Forese and Dem Dunn voted yes or Against US; GOP R. Burns voted No for US. Full consolidation of the five water districts will occur over the next five years, the Increased Costs will be to SCW & SC Residents Only. Meeting was 5 hrs. & 40 min. of consolidation discussion:
1. 16 of 22 parties involved in the 5 Waste Water District (consisting of 7 waste water systems) entered into an agreement to support full consolidation.
2. RUCO – Residential Utility Consumer Office, and the Sun City HOA, and PORA didn’t sign the agreement.
3. Judge Sarah H wrote a 231 page opinion recommending full consolidation. Not 1 Commissioner challenged findings.
4. LD 21 Sen. D Lesko, LD21 Rep. K Payne, Youngtown Mayor M Levault, land surveyor Helmut P, Fred Botha opposed the consolidation.
5. LD 22 Newly Appointed Rep. Ben Toma spoke, But Didn’t Stand with the Voters in SC or SCW on the waste water proposal).
6. SCHOA Governmental Liaison Greg Eisert, sat through the entire proceedings.
7. Mike McKay, Cynthia Swick, Rebecca Blue, Robert (?), Daniel L., Jeff W., Diane S., Roger W., Fran N., Doug Edwards, AIC and others spoke in favor of full consolidation as soon as possible.
8. Craig Patterson placed comments in the record – “Reviewing pages 200-215 in the law judge’s findings – 73% of the comments were opposing consolidation – It is a 76% rate increase for Sun City residents – Sun City residents will provide $22M in subsidies over 5 years – over 10 years Sun City residents will provide $51M in subsidies and over 20 years the subsidy figure is $136M. Consolidation is not in the public interest of the Sun Cities Residents.
9. The Commissioners spent about 90 minutes discussing various aspects of the negotiated settlement agreement, voting to make 3 or 4 changes. (Note: EPCOR will submit their 2016 taxes to the IRS in September 2017.)
PROP 123 A Fraud on AZ Tax Payers Stole Funds from AZ Land Trust!
There were many irregularities with this Proposition as presented to voters by the Gov., Legislators and a $5 Ad Campaign selling it as a guarantee for getting the teachers a raise, when in fact that wasn’t even in the Prop to begin with and as we predicted they didn’t get the raise. The AZ Treasurer Dewit argued this would change the original structure of the Trust with the Federal Gov. giving 10 Million acres of federal land, the law said that the schools “shall forever remain under the exclusive control, “since charter schools in Arizona can be run privately but would receive public funds under Proposition 123, DeWit argued that the measure was illegal. If the Fed decided to make this and issue under a trust agreement now altered and they didn’t agree to the alteration, the fed could take over the trust or rescind the lands initially given.
There was also another violation of State law A.R. S. 19-123 SOS charged with mailing out pamphlets to registered voters in sufficient time to be delivered to household etc. & A.R.S. 19-123B dictates the SOS shall make a timely delivery of the pamphlets. There were over 400,000 voters who received early ballots prior to their pamphlets being delivered and may have already voted without the vital information, which may have caused some to vote against Prop 123, possibly causing the Prop to lose as it only passed by a rather slim margin.
A complaint was filed with AZ AG and even though he agreed there was a violation in the process he wouldn’t move forward charging the AZ SOS with violating the law and also wouldn’t aid the AZ Treasurer in stopping the Prop as well even though it violated the Trust. I smell a number of RATS in the State Capitol from the Governor to SOS to AG to Legislators who voted to put the Prop on the ballot and then went out selling it not to mention the $5 Million on Ads and of course the lobbyists and special interests pushing this bill, we have our very own Septic Tank at the Capitol.
Registered AZ Voters 3,553,389
Votes Cast
Yes 536,365
No 516,949 = 1,053,314
Prop Won by just; 19,416, so the 400,000 pamphlets not mailed in a timely manner could have made a difference, just 9,709 and Prop would have failed.
The Legislators said they wouldn’t touch the Trust Monies and have already raided over $150 Million from the Trust. The Federal Courts have ruled PROP 123 wasn’t legal, so now who’s going to pay that money back and by the way AZ budget isn’t Balanced but does have creative accounting in it to appear as though it is.
Seniors Aren’t Represented by Career Politicians!
AZ House Fails to Protect Low-Income Seniors:
Former House Speaker (R)J.D. Mesnard (LD17), was promoted to the Senate and Rep (D) Mark Cardenas (LD19), were instrumental in killing SB 1268 – that would have restored property tax relief to impoverished Maricopa County seniors, according to the Maricopa County Treasurer’s office. For years, qualified low-income seniors who owned their home were able to freeze and in some cases reduce the amount of property tax they owed on their home. The Elderly Assistance Fund (EAF) helped thousands of Maricopa County seniors, most of whom are living only on social security. The state legislature discontinued this fund three years ago even though the money raised did not come from taxpayers; it came from the sale of tax liens and other non-tax revenue sources. Remember Mesnard is the House leader who ran and won a seat in AZ Senate, where he and others can now do this again.
The Treasurer’s Office has been fighting – ever since it was terminated in 2015 – to reinstate the measures of the EAF, which granted assistance to qualified low income Maricopa County seniors. “We are using the left over funding to help those people who were signed up to receive the much needed help,” said Royce Flora, Maricopa County Treasurer. “The funds will be totally gone within the next year and those senior citizens who depend on the fund to help pay for the property taxes on their home will be on their own. In most cases, this help is the difference between paying the property tax or being able to pay for food, medicine or utilities. The underlying argument is to either protect qualified low income seniors from being taxed out of their homes or allow them to be thrown on the streets. This bill’s failure shows how some representatives value our senior citizens.” Flora said.
Not paying your property tax results in a lien on your home and eventually foreclosure. Ruth Rogers, 66, whose $10,000 a year social security income left her $800 short on her back property taxes and in danger of losing her home. She neglected meals and utility bills in an effort to make ends meet. The Elderly Assistance Fund saved her from losing her home in foreclosure. Rogers stated “I love my home. It may not be much, but I love it. I never want to go through that again.” Phoenix-Woman-Nearly-Lost-Her-Home; Now Lawmaker Wants To Give Her A Tax Break Lawmaker-Cut-Taxes (AZ Republic)
There are over 13,000 senior residents in Maricopa County and over 20,000 statewide as vulnerable as Rogers. SB 1268 represented an opportunity to reinstate the Elderly Assistance Fund and provide property tax relief. The bill would not increase taxes for County residents which is why the bill passed the State Senate with a 28 to 2 vote. Upon the bill’s arrival in the House, Cardenas and Mesnard, led the charge to defeat the bill. Mesnard’s vote is even more perplexing since he runs a charity that provides humanitarian aid to the poor. Mesnard has received nearly $200,000 in special interest campaign contributions in his 2016 reelection bid. Contact: Ron Meritt at (480) 225-0722
BILLY GRAHAM’S SON FRANKLIN IS TELLING THE SAD TRUTH!
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Franklin Graham was speaking at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, when he said America will not come back. He wrote:
“The American dream ended on November 6th, 2012. The second term of Barack Obama has been the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest republic in the history of mankind.
A coalition of blacks, Latinos, feminists, gays, government workers, union members, environmental extremists, the media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the “forever needy,” the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and other “fellow travelers” have ended Norman Rockwell’s America.
You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual acts of defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get back the rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take zealots, not moderates and shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its former status.
People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I will probably never again be able to legally comment on or concern myself with the aforementioned coalition which has surrendered our culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot being fired.
The Cocker spaniel is off the front porch, the pit bull is in the back yard, the American Constitution has been replaced with Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and the likes of Chicago shyster David Axelrod along with international socialist George Soros have been pulling the strings on their beige puppet and have brought us Act 2 of the New World Order.
The curtain will come down but the damage has been done, the story has been told.
Those who come after us will once again have to risk their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to white guilt and political correctness..”
IN GOD WE TRUST
This has been caused by the Politically Correct Cowards not only in Office but those who’ve Blindly Supported and Voted 4 them time & time again. I believe there’s still time to Save the America we grew up in, but it will take the Courage to admit the Mistakes and No Longer Support or Vote 4 the Incumbents at all Levels who’ve Voted away Our Freedoms, so hope you’ll Join US in this Battle.
God Bless You All; Clair Van Steenwyk
